1 Lg Onion diced
2 Cups Broccoli florets
1/4 Cups Pine nuts
2 cloves minced garlic
1/4 Cup olive oil
1/4 Cup fresh chopped Basil Leaves
Whole wheat pasta of choice.
1/2 Tsp Chili flakes
grated Parmesan Cheese to taste
Keep in mind that the ratios of this recipe are personal preference.
1. Cook pasta as per directions on the box minus 1 minute. Be sure to season the water with salt.
2. Saute the Pancetta and Onion in olive oil. Be sure to let it caramelize to get the most flavor.
3. Add the Broccoli Florets and pinenuts.
4. Add Garlic, basil, and additional Olive Oil.
5. Once pasta is done cooking add one ladle of pasta water.
6. Drain and rinse remaining pasta and add to pan.
7. Stir in chili flakes and fresh Parmesan. Toss and Serve!
